High-density polyethylene (HDPE) bottles with polypropylene (PP) closures, offering many advantages over conventional flexible, autoclavable plastic bottles. A fire-polished inner surface reduces the possibility of breakage, while the outer surface, produced by the heat-strength of the polyethylene, provides an excellent surface for inert, chemical-resistant characteristics. The polyethylene closure provides an airtight barrier to protect personnel and environment from glass fragments and to aid in the recovery of any retained liquid, powder, or fiber. The polyethylene liner is autoclavable, and the bottles are supplied with a polyethylene plug wrench, allowing for media changes without removal, and rinsing after autoclaving. The polyethylene liner is removable, and serviceable by autoclaving as required. Ordering Information: All bottles and jars are supplied with a batch certificate.
