Each burette incorporates a three-way reservoir with a negative-pressure valve that prevents vacuum buildup. The valve has a large handle for easy dispensing onto a sink, a large volume reservoir for syringes and burettes with a short neck, and a large volume plug to prevent vacuum buildup on lids and vent tubes. This design also allows back-and-forth transfer of liquids from the reservoir into a vial or container via the same 3WAY valve used for delivery and filling. The buret tip is removed and a new, single-use syringe is introduced without vacuum loss and without sample evaporation. The volume can be charged from the buret by buret tip or from the reservoir by reservoir, needle, or by a pump handle. The buret tip is removed, and a new, self-sealing, positive-pressure, safety-sealed, autoclavable elastic connecting tube is provided. Buret tips may also be transferred to other vials or pipets using the buret reservoir adapter CSE1 (sold separately).
