The chromachromatography strip process provides an inexpensive, easy way to separate color-coded copper strips from other copper strips using a color-coded chip. Traditional separators are made of stainless steel or brass, and are assembled with an automatic color-sorter according to size. The CS1 color sorter sorts color-coded copper strips according to size. It can be easily stored at room temperature in standard equipment or in a cool place. Sorting racks are not included. Color coding is based on the size of the batch or lot, size of purge gas, or size of purge button. It is not recommended that a purge gas such as a hydrogen peroxide sample tube be used for sample introduction. For best results, insulate the purge tube after filling with a color-coded solvent. After filling, agitate and mix for one minute. A color-coded indicator strip is visible at the end of the column (e.g. color-coded copper strip) should be placed on the surface for collection of color.
