Graduated with a permanent brown etch and clear unit bottom, the flasks are manufactured from borosilicate glass, one or two times thicker than the standard grade. The shape and color variations allow accurate comparisons between the original and sterile jar. The brown etch and clear unit bottom provides a consistent visual reference to the degree of hardness of the glass. The amber frosted pattern made from FDA grade, high quality, chemically inert glass makes the unit easy to find when lost or damaged. Compared to non-wetting conventional jars, the conical shape of the flasks allow for more complete recovery of the filling. The resulting tall vessel provides a more economical method of manufacturing the molded graduations. Graduates are permanently etched with lot number, size, and country of origin on the outside. The permanent etch and color variations in the neck area of the flasks are normal and not an indication of the degree of hardness of the glassware.
