A disposable polypropylene cap with a hinged blowout service provides three times the filling capacity of standard cap types. The unique wadded top prevents blow-back, yet allows most blowouts to occur within the service life of the cap. Snap-on design assures quick and easy removal. The octagonal shape and the property of allowing liquids to fill the cup to the top makes these caps excellent choice for use in centrifuges with removable end caps. These caps are autoclavable under normal autoclaving guidelines. They contain no liquids or initiators.
