Each of the L2D Combat Guide Rods for Glock Compact Frame will include a factory weight ISMI recoil spring and will arrive pre-assembly and ready to install. ISMI recoil springs are heated treated, shot peened and stress relieved after winding to enhance their performance, service life and durability. L2D guide rods will not accept the OEM factory recoil spring due to a larger shaft diameter.

On L2D's website they list this product as a full kit including retainer washer and factory rate spring, is this the same full kit? Expert Answer

LD-P-GR-CF-SS arrives assembled with the washer, 18LB spring and retainer screw. We apply Loctite from our end too, so it is a 100% drop-in installation.

This will last a lifetime i suspect, purchased some extra springs just in case I need to go lighter weight for whatever reason. Plus if anything were to ever happen to it now i have the spair oem part. Personally, I love having spare parts.
