The beaker-shaped conical wells of the 20mm cylindrical microcentrifuge tube are ideal for collecting and storing urines, sediments, and other small volume specimens. The specially designed top prevents breakage of the clear wells and allows visual inspection of the serum or urine. The syringe connector, a calibrated calibration standard, connects the funnel or syringe to the manifold, and the standard graduations on the top and bottom of the wells provide a standard operating procedure for the aseptic transfer of the sample into the collection container. The stopcock forms part of the luer slip connection on the threaded cap. The cannula is not affected by the protein solubility and solubility of the protein in urine. The protein is a natural occurring constituent of urine. Like all urine specimens, a color change from pink to white occurs when the color change occurs. The color of the urine will change from light yellow to deep purple when the protein concentration is high. The white color change with the assay determines the color change. The color change does not affect the protein content. The protein content is measured by the density of the protein in the urine. The protein content will not change. The color change does not occur with the standard color change of 100 percent. The protein content will not change.
