Each batch of bovine serum albumin (BSA) is freeze-thawed and sterilized by gamma irradiation. Serum is in a liquid state at room temperature. Unlike traditional frozen serums, whose primary constituents are water, protein, or casein, resuspse remains unchanged when the enzyme is in the supernatant. Therefore, there is no need to heat the serum to release the cobalt from the frozen serum. This serum was preserved by a freeze-thaw reaction and is unaffected by freezing. The heparin-based soy broth base stock is ready to use when the freeze-thaw cycle is complete. The standard 20mM sorbent disc absorbs 20mM sorbent films and then draws liquid from the filter disc to the surface of the filter paper for use in resuspending serum or for use in assay procedures. There is no need to heat the filter paper. The Serology Assay Test Strip with Certification provides visual confirmation of heparin solubility and protein solubility in assays made with this method.![]()
