The highly adhesive material will not pinhole or pierce. The unique stopcock mechanism will, however, stop the sample flow in the tubes if the lid is left undisturbed. The cover, therefore, becomes an integral part of the block wall and can not be removed. In the event of a lid removal, the remover can be retained by turning the block and clamping the lid in place. The cuvette can then be used for collection of the serum or plasma. The collection bag is polyethylene and features a distinctive orange patterned stripe.
