The use of this acid gas filter is mandatory for certain colorimetric procedures and for some acidic refractive dyes (e.g., fluorocarbon resins). Therefore, the Colorsmart acid gas filter should not be used for applications involving the use of powders, weighing, dispensing, grinding, or evaporation. The color-coding feature of this acid gas filter allows the user to determine the color change from the colorimeter before the colorimetric analysis and the color change from the indicator colorimeter before the analysis. Color indicating dyes (e.g., hexane dyes) are easily identified on the colorimeter display. To ensure that the colorimeter readings are valid, the colorimeter must be ordered before using this colorimeter. Colorimeters with filters other than the 6910301 colorimeter should not be used.
