Each side of the dividers has a port which opens the enclosure to allow the user to insert an isotainer, which holds the corresponding air filter. The isolator tap provides for the exchange of air across the filter. When the red indicator shows that the hepa-ha has been exhausted, the hepa-ha may need to be replaced. The filters should be changed at least every six months. Filters should not be removed from the system between changes in the lab environment and the source of contamination. This ensures that the source of contamination does not spread to other environments.
