Safety hoods are used to separate hazardous and nonhazardous airborne particulates (at least one third of the total air volume) to provide a safer environment for the operator. A single stage purifier (0.6 m or 2") is used for general safety hooding applications. Purifiers meet Class I, Division 1 standards for the inhalation of particulates in the workplace. The Class I hoods utilize a one-piece molded top and an air-activated, water-tight outer seal. The top can be easily removed for cleaning. A purifier can also be installed and serviced from the outside, making maintenance and cleaning much easier.
