Individual yellow rubber tops will not leak if stored in standard conditions. Individual yellow tops will break or leak if stored at elevated temperatures. A brown top denotes a heavy-duty rubber top. Heavy duty black rubber tops are not rated for vacuum and should not be used with double- walled, round or oval-bottom fermenters.
