Thimble exhaust connector provides an anechoic chamber for drying flasks incorporating single, double, or triple flange connections. The connector isolates the clean hood from the exhaust duct to prevent back siphoning of air from the exhaust line. The anode on the connector traps and supports the flow of air across the thief layer, ensuring dryer fabric recovery and eliminating the need for frequent vacuum interruptions. The anodized aluminum and stainless steel construction provides durability and resistance to corrosion. Clean air is drawn through the anode layer, which is permeated with solvent from the reacting gases. Return air is drawn up through the thief layer, and the thief layers are expelled during use, preventing back siphoning. The thymble absorbs any pressure drop during use and recirculates the room air through the hoses at set-up and recirculation points, preventing recharge of the hood ductwork with recirculated air.
