The Lee Deluxe Quick Trim Case Trimmer is a "no-sew" progressive press mounted pistol/short block case trimmer. This popular "no-sew" progressive press uses a "snap-on-fit" system for simplicity and speed. A "snap-on-fit" system eliminates the need to over trim and holds the case mouth open while the trimmer trims. The "quick trim" means that the case mouth closes to the press stop rather than "crimping" as with standard trim dies. To "snap-on-fit" simply place the case mouth against the inside of the die block and then, trim the case as close as possible. This is accomplished by "stepping-down" or "reaming" the case mouth. Because there is less metal involved in the manufacturing of this popular item there is less chance of breakage. The Lee Deluxe Quick Trim Case Trimmer is aligned at both the case mouth and inside dimension or 'crimping' or 'shaving' the case mouth shut. This reduces possible damage to both the case and the trimming die.
