The Lee Decapper used to remove decapping remnants that remain after cleaning a bottleneck case. This tool is made of high carbon steel and is easily assembled and provides a heavy duty and effective job. A molded plastic handle with solid locking jaws keeps the decapper from slipping and is easy to tighten and use. Manufactured using a steel spring, not cast or forged, the decapper provides years of solid steel durability. The base is cast and is drilled to allow use with the Lee Decapper. Lee's innovative patent-pending Flex-Tip® feature removes a drilled out center pin keeping the decapper from slipping and binding up during use. This feature eliminates much of the guess work involved in cleaning after a shot. Because the base is not drilled it is not necessary to decap with a hammer in order to clean the chamber after firing. Many people find a nut or bolt to remove the decap from the case neck after firing which requires a case deburring tool in order to clean the case and decap it requires a case neck turning motion in order to clean the case. This feature eliminates many of the problems associated with using a hand decap and most of the guesswork involved in using a lubricated case neck turning tool.
