Manufactured with aluminun, the double cavity mold is proven to be more durable and effective than softer cast iron molds. Additionally, the design of the mold offers a unique cleaning action that makes casting real bullets easier even after multiple castings. In addition, this particular mold includes sprue plates that are lifted out with each casting, a small grove in between the sprues that allows for cores to be poured in and cores to be broken out, and a punch and die for each cavity. The sprue plates act as handles for the molded casts, and each cavity has ore gates and orifices built in that allow for solid and easy release of sprue plugs.
