Lee Six Cavity Mold .38 140gr-swc No Handles - To achieve the highest level of accuracy with cast bullets you must use a high quality alloy steel or one of the cast steel designs which are rust free. Over the years many have said that molds made from aluminum have performed the best. Because molds made from aluminum are lighter there is less chance of fatigue on the bullet caster. Also, the cavities are more easily positioned and removed. This is due to the materials being lighter. However, the disadvantages are not trivial. Casting a low sprue height causes problems for the caster. Also, with the cavities being close together it is easier to produce a near perfect round nose without burning out the sprue. The Lee Six Cavity Semi-Wadcutter (SWC) Pistol Mould is a two-cavity design that simplifies the overall process.
