great idea for a tripod system but practically falls short. not stable at all due to the stick extending so far above the tripod legs and as a result difficult to use, at least with a spotting scope. Pros: convenient system Cons: not stable

This thing has a tripod that forms on a 5 foot or higher tripod at about 15 inches off the ground. It is so unstable for most purposes that a wind over 5mph would risk blowing it over. Find a stick for a walking stick and buy a real tripod instead....
