Get rid of that traditional sling swivel and replace it with the LWRC quick detach sling mount. This sling mount replaces the carbine style sling loop and is constructed of steel rather than the usual nylon or polymer. This allows you to remove the sling loop and install the sling in the same fashion as a traditional sling loop, which requires no gunsmithing. This model does not require removal of the rear sling swivel stud. Once installed, you may run your sling through the sling swivel stud, but beware of fingers getting caught in between the swivel stud and the sling swivel lug at the same time. The LWRC ambidextrous QD sling mount is a true ambidextrous sling loop, which means left- and right-handed shooters can now enjoy a sling that doesn't require removal/reinstallation at the receiver. This also keeps the sling loop from snagging on the rear of the sling loop at awkward and unsavory positions. As with all LWRC products, this item is made in specialized factories.
