I was going to purchase the mbus pro but saw the hooded one. So far so good. The hooded privides almost a red dot feel when looking down.

The result is faster sight acquisition and reduced glare when paired with the dual aperture, windage-adjustable MBUS Pro Sight Rear. The compact, all-steel sight maximizes durability and minimizes snagging during hard use. With the adjustable front sight post, shooters can also switch from a maximum visibility width to one more suited for precision shooting.
