Meade #909 Accessory Port Module for LX90 07506 expands the functions of LX-90 SCT's computer control panel. It provides Autostar handbox control of an optional electric focuser (for visual and photographic use) and optional corded illuminated reticle eyepieces (for guided long exposure astrophotography).
It also provides a port for a CCD autoguider for long exposure automatically-guided astrophotos. Meade #909 Accessory Port Module attaches to the rear cell of the Meade LX90 Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes , just under the visual back and star diagonal. A bracket attaches permanently to the scope, using a supplied hex wrench and socket-head screws. Meade # 909 snaps into place in the bracket.
While #909 Meade Accessory Port Module is easily removed by pulling forward on a clip at the top of the bracket and sliding the # 909 downwards, the module is also small enough to be left in place permanently. Meade Port Module #909 connects to the AUX port of the scope's computer control panel by means of a supplied coiled cord.
The Autostar hand control can control the speed and direction of focus of an optional #1206 electric focuser plugged into Meade #909 Port Module. It can also control the intensity, blink rate, and on/off cycle time of optional Meade 9mm and 12mm corded illuminated reticles.
Meade #909 Accessory Port Module for LX90 07506 does not require batteries. It is powered by the LX90's power source.
