The Colossus Improved Crash Pad from Metolius is beefy, and not just cheap fast food beefy. Three large panels have angled hinges so that your ankles are protected, even if you land on the seams. 3.5" of open and closed cell foam means that you can feel safe dropping off all but the highest highball routes. Drag handles, zippered pockets and enough room to sleep on make the Colossus Improved an excellent choice for any climber.
