The titration vessel is a general-purpose holding vessel for titrations and other batch procedures involving a need for a clearly defined initial concentration of a test substance. Before the tubing is removed, a quick twist test is performed to check that the initial salinity of the test solution remains constant; if not, add a few drops of acid and wait a few seconds. If the test solution changes color from blue to pink, the patient should be taken to the hospital or research center for confirmation of the original test tube color.
