Dusting or cleaning a wide-mouth glassware container can be difficult because of the unusual shape of the flasks used. For a long time, standard cotton swabs and cotton dusters were the best tools for the job. We developed a molded polystyrene brush with a sturdy base to fit the shape of a wide-mouth flask. To use the brush, hold the flask with the brush end firmly in your hand while you clean. Dampen the brush by striking it on a solid surface with the back of your hand. A thorough cleaning will restore the spout to its normal shape, and then the flask can be tumbled with a string or scouring pads to remove any residue. Styrene styrene neck caliber allows the flask to be blown dry with an etch of acid or alkali metal, leaving no residue.
