Legs have more direct contact with snow and spray than the upper body so ensuring weatherproof protection is essential. The Montane Astro Ascent eVent Trousers are constructed from highly breathable eVent Hurricane fabric and reinforced in critical areas with DIAMOND FACE, which provides dependable extra durability and protection from rock scrapes and ankle knocks. These trousers have a tailored fit reducing excess fabric when worn as an overtrouser and feature ~high step' articulation built into the knees to ensure they are comfortable across a range of dynamic movements. They also feature full length YKK Aqua Guard side zips for full mountain functionality.

- 12 13 stitch count on all seams versus a typical industry average of 8, creating a tight, clean and strong seam
- 3mm seam allowance on all seams, reducing weight and bulk under the micro-tape creating a smooth and strong seam
- Articulated knees and an active tailored cut for high step movement, perfect for mountain use
- Tailored rear and upper thigh to reduce excess fabric
- Front waist flat elastication for low profile and snug fit
- Brushed fine microfleece lined high waist band for improved comfort
- Durable metal press stud at front waist fastening for extra security
- Fly with YKK zip opening and bonded storm flap
- Full length, two way YKK matte AquaGuard leg side zips
- Storm flap behind leg side zips with press stud at top and bottom
