The patented nanosecond fast positioning (N2K) ion beam mechanical indexing stand is designed for in situ analysis. The dual height positioning can be locked and secured to maximize stability and minimize contamination. The fine focus control knob allows the analyst to focus the camera even at high magnifications. The fine focus knob also has a safety switch and features an over-sized flanges to fit a large range of microscopes. Its compact base ion beam selector dial allows the analyst to choose among a number of preset positioning angles. The fast positioning function can be locked and secured to prevent loss of the clamping device. The fast positioning function may be helpful when attaching the stand to a tall stand or when wearing long trousers in order to avoid shaking the camera. Ensure that the camera has a clean, dry surface prior to probing or aligning the microscope. Provided with fine focus adjustment knob. The standard focus knob is suitable for CCTV (camera on a stand) and includes fine focus adjustment ring. No centering rods are included.
