These bottles incorporate the unique Nalge Nunc DOT-2 closure. The 2E closure provides a leakproof joint that is hygienic and helps to retain hazardous and/or sensitive materials. The second feature is that they will not sweat allowing for safer, longer storage. This feature is especially useful when storing a large volume of a liquid. Exceptionally resistant to acids and alkalis, these bottles will also be useful for hot plates and stir bars. Bottles are supplied with a polystryrene gasket and rubber gasket insert. The S500 general-use cap is a polystryrene two-component (MFE) gasket and second, identical double-ringed cap to reduce breakage. The outer cap has an acid-resistant inner seal.
