Product Category Description:

The NALGENE Fluorinated HDPE (Fluorinated High-Density Polyethylene) carboy has a narrow mouth design and is excellent for rinsing numerous types of acids and alkalis. The deep, natural white color allows most acids and alkalis to fully mature before removing acid by alkalination. The degree of fluorination is based on the molecular formula of PFPE, a general purpose low-molecular weight polyethylene with a glass-like crystalline structure. The extended cap design provides secondary sealing and eliminates secondary air or liquid trapping. The carboy is excellent for storing and preparing a variety of warm liquids. It may be used as a mixing vessel, a storage container, and a general-purpose mixing vessel. It is also capable of a wide range of chemical resistance including aliphatic, acidic, and basic solutions as well as a mild lysine content.
