Nalge Nunc developed a dual-temperature inlet utilizing a re-designed, high-performance nozzle that minimizes premixing of gas types and greatly reduces the possibility of a pressure-caused sample loss. The in situ generation of single-phase and mixed gas plasmas from these syringes is particularly useful for kinetic and phase separation applications. Additional features of these syringes include a reliable single-use valve with an excellent recovery rate of 8 to 12 seconds per charge, a robust polycarbonate top, inert gaskets at the openings, and a strong leakproof design. The Nalge Nunc M48 inert gas nozzle has an orignal flow path of air through the center of the nozzle and a broad range of rinsing solutions. Crushed and densified polyethylene (a plastic resin) ringed with gold (Coated) PTFE (a nitrogen-containing plastic) cap that resists organic solvents and inert gases.
