The HDPE Closure Vial is an all-purpose, general-purpose sample container, which is ideal for storing and packaging labware, such as ELNs and media. Vials can be used directly from the vial neck or a central filling point, and without removal of the closure. Vials are supplied without a pourslip, and blowouts are not recommended unless thoroughly lubricated. Vials feature a central filling spout with an alignment pin notch and a witness pin to ensure a tight seal. The blowout pin is a standard Teflon disc with an alignment pin hole. The neck is positioned at the bottom center and has an alignment pin to ensure a tight seal. The plug wire forms an integral handle for assembly. The neck may be cut off at any point without affecting the seal. This feature allows for thorough filling without removal of the plug. Closed cell vials are not recommended for use in the presence of organic solvents, as the internal vacuum does not ensure complete dissolution.
