Product Category Description:

The NALGENE PMP (polymethylpentene) beaker is used for general laboratory procedures requiring a large volume and exact volumes. The beaker is supplied with either a molded polyethylene (major component of milk) or borosilicate glass stopper. Both materials provide the same degree of heat resistance, but vary slightly in their ability to react with water. Beakers feature a molded area at the bottom with a single calibrated scale indicating approximate volumes. Supplied with a clear, hardened steel bail with stainless steel top. Large area at the bottom minimizes the accumulation of fines from evaporation. Suitable for use with either liquid or powder sampling procedures.
