High-density polyethylene (HDPE) Lowboy Carboys with spigot offer a number of advantages over high-volume, low-turn borosilicate glass carboys. The carboys are ideally suited for receiving large amounts of liquid at one time and requires a simple, inexpensive process to dispense it. It has the advantage of being stackable and easier to handle than a pile of carboys. This feature makes it more practical to use in a batch process where each container is easily picked up and put down without spilling. Also features a spout as a venting point and molded handle. Inserts are required but not provided. Carboys 2323-0015 has a spout but no handle.
