Units have a milky white appearance that is suitable for use with many tissue and blood culture media. All units are sterile and have a color change upon sterile filtration. Thrombocyte-detechina growth inhibition is minimized in tissue culture media by the adsorber, while glucose uptake and transport remain unimpaired. Sterilization is achieved by the standard filtration procedure. As a result of the unique manufacturing process there is virtually no change in procedure or media.
