Product Info for Night Optics IR-940 940nM IR Illuminator

The Night Optics IR-940 Infrared Illuminator is a long-range solution when you need distance and IR power. The Night Optics Long-Range IR Illuminator is the perfect device for those who wish to remain completely undetected by their subjects. The 940nM wavelength is almost completely invisible to the naked eye. Because the wavelength is so long there will be some loss of illumination range as compared to 805nM devices. This features a fixed beam and simple push-button on-off controls located on top of the device. This versatile device can be hand-held or mounted. The Night Optics IR Handheld Illuminator works best with Generation 3 night vision. It mounts easily on night vision or CCD devices or can be hand-held. Ideal aid for extreme low light conditions. Significantly extends capabilities of weapon sights, observation devices and photographic equipment. Because the performance of any night vision or low-light CCD device is dependent on ambient light, magnification, atmospheric transparency, and contrast between the target and its background, addition of the right IR illuminator can significantly enhance visual acuity and extend detection ranges.image
