Product Info for Nosler 54951 AccuBond 7mm .284 150 GR Spitzer Point 50 Box
Nosler AccuBond Bullets combine a proven Nosler copper jacket with its special lead alloy core. The result is a high BC bullet with excellent long-range efficiency. The majority of Large Partition (LPS) bullet jackets are either copper or lead, while the majority of Nosler lead alloy bullets are both. The AccuBond process, used with all three component materials, bonds the AccuBond to the lead alloy core in a manner that eliminates the possibility of component separation during firing. As a result, the AccuBond retains its weight without extensive barrel fouling. The boat tail design on these bullets acts as a platform for mushrooming and the boat tail ensures the projectile will not shed any base metal. Perhaps most importantly, the boat tail ensures that the AccuBond will not separate from the core during expansion. If component separation should occur, the Solid Base at the rear of the bullet will retain enough energy to initiate a rapid expulsion of the projectile as it travels. This feature eliminates the possibility of bullet deformation or damage to the bonded jacket in the magazine, and offers the advantage of a larger mushroom for expanded weight loss.
