The NE61 is a composite electrode with a silver-oxide coating on the silver-oxide electrode. It is used for general-purpose testing duties in boilers, hot water heat transfer equipment, cooling tower water, and waste water (treated and untreated). The general purpose electrode has a silver-oxide coating on the silver-oxide electrode and a silver-oxide coating on the collector. The collector provides a uniform distribution of ions throughout the solution. Emulsion testers use this electrode when a high current is present. All current is measured by the NE61. Comb electrodes are used for small volume sample throughputs. Large volume samples will skew results because sample volumes must be too low to be measured. Also, the current must be high to produce a detectable signal. Therefore, if the sample is saline, or hot, add a little salt to the electrode before use. Also, make sure the comb electrode is well greased and attached to the thong, thread it into the cable a slip joint should it deform under pressure. Large cable diameters should be avoided. This comb electrode is manufactured from quality materials and has a long-lasting warranty. Ordering Information: The NE61 is supplied with a filling liner, cable, and probe. A filling liner is not included. For full-size comb electrodes with BNC connectors and PTFE filling, fill with acid-free gel or conductive gel.
