OpticsPlanet is here to make your online firearm purchase simple, safe, and compliant with federal, state, and local laws. All firearm purchases must go through a licensed Federal Firearm License (FFL) dealer in your state. We are committed to helping you navigate this process smoothly while ensuring full compliance with all applicable regulations.  

FFL ITEMS:  

All FFL item(s) purchased from OpticsPlanet.com are considered FFL items and must follow the following requirements:  

• FFL items must be shipped to an approved FFL dealer with a current FFL on file 

• You are responsible for reviewing and complying with your Federal, State, and Local Laws in your area 

• Your approved FFL must be in the same state as your billing address 

• Use the OpticsPlanet FFL Finder to identify FFLs close to your billing address 

• If your preferred FFL is not listed in our finder, please have your desired FFL dealer send a clearly signed FFL copy to OpticsPlanet at FFL@opticsplanet.com.  

FFL PROCESSING:  

• FFL-only orders will be shipped ONLY to your approved FFL dealer’s address on their license 

• Orders containing both FFL and non-FFL items will be split. FFL items will ship to the approved FFL dealer’s address on their license, while non-FFL items will ship to your provided shipping address.  

• Please contact your FFL dealer to ensure they approve OpticsPlanet to use their FFL for the transfer 

• You will receive tracking information for FFL items shipped to your approved FFL dealer 

• Once your item arrives at the approved FFL dealer, they are responsible for completing the transfer process.  

• Your FFL will collect payments for any applicable fees and taxes to complete the transfer.  

• Your FFL may require additional documents and identification to complete your transfer. 

• Make sure to review your local laws prior to ordering your FFL item purchase with OpticsPlanet 

• Please make sure to inspect the FFL item(s) thoroughly before accepting the transfer, as cancellations and returns are prohibited post-transfer.  

FFL ITEM CANCELLATIONS AND RETURNS 

• Once an FFL item has shipped to your approved Local FFL dealer, order/item cancellations are prohibited 

• Once an FFL item has been transferred to you, cancellations and returns are prohibited 

• Pre-transfer orders can be returned with a 20% restocking fee plus return shipping costs paid by you 

• FFL item(s) may be returned before the firearm has been transferred to you by your approved local FFL dealer, with a 20% restocking fee plus return shipping cost paid by you. Returns must be approved by OpticsPlanet.
