The Musashi Shinken has a long, curved blade, forged from 1065 high-carbon steel and differentially hardened. The temper line is strong and crisp to highlight the fluid motion of the Musashi's swordsmanship. The elegant Shinogi-inspired Tsuka-ito is hand-carved in the traditional style of the Edo-Age style, and the Shinogi-hada is an exquisitely detailed fitting with superb detailing. The Shinogi-hada is particularly stunning, as it extends all the way to the first rib, providing the final breathtaking flourish to this stunning sword. The Shinogi-Hashi of the Musashi Shinken is replicated from museum pieces held in the Musashi-Kai (Musashi Museum in Sagami, Japan) and displays a unique battle scene.
