The divider set by Pelican can be removed and its padded edges can be used as a stand-alone case by itself. Be aware that the divider set kit by Pelican is not waterproof and could be damaged by water, chemicals or shock. The case that comes with the Pelican Divider Kit for 1605 Case has no interior dividers - they are bare die-cut plywood (the interior of the case is made of foam-lined ply-wood, not sheet-rock like other Pelican cases are). The case comes with a liner which is removable and can be replaced by an interior divider kit.
