Product Category Description:

Stoppers are molded from pure black rubber. Some have slight imperfections in the form of small, black bumps on the surface. These imperfections, rather than forming a solid stopper, make it very easy to open. Opening the stopper causes the sample to jump or splash inside the hood. These solid stoppers are more difficult to crush or force open than the usual flexible rubber stoppers. The soft nature of the stopper and its streamlined shape permit visual opening with a magnified opening of one-fifth of an inch or less. Non-bridging design and excellent flintiness allow the sample to be easily removed. Most have just enough of an arc to identify the stopper as rubber. This formulation assures excellent transmission of the signal from the stopper in most cases. Sides are un-marked for identification. Solid stoppers have sharp, defined edges and are die cut for snag-free opening. Stoppers are stamped for size and shape on the bottom of the stopper and numbered to provide an easy opening.
