The P.A.C. Vertical Aluminum Sliding Window features heavy-duty, all-metal tilt-out screens mounted outside of the window frame. The screens are installed with clips and pins so they stay put when the window is in the open or closed position. The operating parts of the window are simple, strong spring loaded clips and a pin that hooks onto a metal shaft, positioned in line with the slider, that allows the window to slide smoothly open and closed. Also, the operating parts of the sliders are simple, strong metal pins that hook onto a plastic sliding bar, then slide the window in place, flush with the metal surface. When the window is in the open position, the interior part of the sliders tilts in to allow rain and snow to exit the building. When the window is in the closed position, the pin that holds the window in place blocks the slider from opening and closing, so the window stays in the closed position until you open it again. For maintenance, simply clean with mild detergent and let air dry.
