This magazine catch is a direct replacement of the original PolyTech part installed on AK47 rifles manufactured in the early 8's and imported by KFS Industries Inc. (Kengs Firearm Specialty). Crisp edges engage all types of Chinese magazines for reliable magazine retention. Constructed from steel this catch will hold up to the harshest conditions. The magazine catch is held in place by the magazine catch pin and catch spring. If you are replacing your catch, see PolyTech item# 7--12 for the original catch spring.image
