Will this convert the factory ambidextrous mag release to only one side?

No. It just extends the release. And the direction you install it will be right or left the 1.0 ,1.5 longer.

Which size is the biggest size, I'm not sure how to read the dimensions. I have small hands and want the biggest size mag release possible.

1.5. Just make sure your not going to drop your mag mid "problem". I believe they recommend 1.0 for defense carry and 1.5 for competition. But up to you.

I'm a small/medium size glove pending the manufacturer. The 0.15" extension allows me to do drop mags without breaking my grip on my XDM. Saw notable improvements in my IDPA times thanks to this small change.

Appears from photo one side is stock length and one side extended. Not the case. Both sides longer than oem and one side only slightly longer than the other. Longer on right side of gun interferes with strong hand manipulation of the pistol.

Picked up Springfield xdm 10mm.. love gun, problem is couldn't reach mag button without changing grip..not good.. Wasn't sure if this would fix problem.. this fixed it perfect.. got longest one.. works excellent.. any problem reaching button, buy one...
