no need to buy new scope mounts and rings i took scope straight from my bolt action and put straight to my ar it stays tight dont move best 75 i ever spent on scope related items
The front of my scope hit the hanguard and could not be mounted properly to the weapon. The riser lifted the scope just enough to clear the handguard with out raising the line of sight too much. The riser was easily attached and has stayed secure.

This mount was designed to set on the variety of 308 flat top receivers but it has proved to be versatile base for many different purposes. This aluminum mount with full Picatinny rail will extend the mounting platform area to the front or rear. This mount is constructed of T6 6061 hard coated black anodized aluminum. Raises the 1913 rail up .450 from the receiver. The overall length of the riser is 9in. And weighs 5.44 ounces.
