When subjected to ultra violet light (UV) light, Phenolic Screw Caps will remain colorless and crystal clear. Caps offer greater sealing ability because of the vapor barrier through the polyethylene (plastic) outer sheath. The Phenolic Caps will also accept the same shrink-wrap that has been vacuumed into place by the shrink wrap. Qorpak Black Phenolic Screw Caps with Poly-Seal Liner are excellent for protecting bottles and jars filled with liquids from daylight to sterilization. They will not become brittle with the effects of heat or cold and they do not discolor with UV light.
