Containers feature a wide mouth design with two molded vertical handles for easy opening. The base of these containers is made of a molded, acid-resistant polyethylene from which a fluoropolymer resin is inserted to resist etching in acidic solutions. After curing, the resin becomes totally cured and no further etching or chemical attack is allowed. A permanent scar, formed by the curing process, is visible through the wide mouth funnel. Filled with amber crystal resin, these containers resist odors and glass etching. The fluoropolymer resin is inserted between two layers of polyethylene and then cured by autoclaving. After curing, the curing process leaves an extremely small trace residue, which prevents etching or leakage into the atmosphere. After opening, the curing agent causes the pack to thicken, forming a secondary barrier layer which prevents iodine or other etching from taking place.
