Quart jars are constructed from high-quality, lightweight polystyrene for rigidity and shock absorption without the use of wood. Natural conical shape to withstand knocks and strong shelving upright from shelving. Plastic screw caps twist-on to seal out dust and small particles. Wide mouth design allows easy access to contents. Large center "Y" ring helps prevent freezing in jars with limited space. Molded-in centistokes on both sides help assure a tight seal with shelving and corners on all sides. Thumb indent on outer lip of jar can be pushed down for firmly closing, while sealing-ring lip on the jar helps prevent exfiltration of contamination from inside the jar. Wide mouth jars are designed to fit over most Qorpak shelving. Excessive space inside the jar can be used for storing organic matter. Wide mouth jars are ideal for storing matchsticks, paints, dyes, or other lab tools and equipment. The large center opening provides for easy access to small, hard to reach items. Molded from high quality white polystyrene, the jars are designed to take one jar, not two. Wide mouth jars provide ample space for adding small amount of material, such as cotton, swabs, lotions.
