The Aero Precision Enhanced handguards use the Aero Precision BAR barrel nut, found here: https://www.opticsplanet.com/aero-precision-ar15-bar-barrel-nut-and-shims.html
Gen 1, Gen 2, or Quantum use the BARR (BAR?) nut. It's a proprietary nut sold separately from the handguard by Aero for anywhere between $20-35. Why separately? Because it's also sold permanently affixed to some Aero uppers. It was originally designed to be one of the most solid, rigid (and by extension, most accurate) systems on the market. But lots of people wanted to add it to their non-Aero uppers, and not everyone wanted the girth of the Aero handguards, so Aero also sells the barrel nut separately, and makes uppers with normal barrel nut threads. I know this answer is late, but hopefully it helps others out.
Yes, this is a standard GI barrel nut.
You will need to utilize the Aero Precision AR15 BAR barrel nut.
A standard Mil-Spec Armorer's wrench will work on this barrel nut
This would work: MWI-HZ-G2FH-MCTAR-20XG2
Yes, they would be compatible.
Yes, that would work.
The Tuff Zone AR-15 15 in handguard will come with a proprietary barrel nut. This barrel nut will not be compatible with that handguard.
This barrel nut will not work with any handguard. It should work with most two piece drop-in handguards, if used with a delta ring.
