This is a complete upper ready to shoot once you get a completed lower, BCG, and charging handle

Why on picture 1 of 8” barrel & 7” hand guard does it show the black 300 AAC upper with a longer barrel than the tan upper which is proper size??

Can you simply replace an existing 5.56 upper with a 300 upper, using your existing lower & BCG? Or is there something else required.

You can replace a 5.56 upper receiver with a 300 Blackout upper receiver and use the same lower and BCG as long as they are Mil-Spec dimensions. However, depending on the gas system and upper specifications you may need to swap out your buffer weight or spring.

The Aero Precision M4E1 .300 CMV Barrel Complete Upper Assembly is compatible with the Aero Precision M4 lower receivers. It is also compatible with Mil-Spec AR15 lowers.

These particular SKU numbers are for the M4E1 Complete Upper with a 10" .300 Blackout barrel and Enhanced 9” Gen 2 M-LOK Handguard.

What weight buffer would work well for this upper? Using a standard Aero Precision AR-15 buffer spring.

The Aero Precision M4E1 .300 CMV Barrel Complete Upper Assembly, due to its short barrel options(8in-10in) and chambered in 300 Blackout, I would recommend using an H3 buffer to help mitigate/control the recoil impulse. A link to H3 buffers can be found below.
